Common Causes of Unhappiness 02/12/2012
Add Comment Defenselessness 11/25/2011
One of the biggest causes of unhappiness is our need to defend ourselves. Our need to defend ourselves causes us to do and say things that we later regret. And even if we don't end up regretting we end up harboring anger towards others - even strangers.
I must admit that I myself have been the worst at this. I have spent the first 30 years of my life constantly finding reasons to defend myself. When I was little my Mother would call me her little attorney. I could defend anything and anybody. Sometimes its not a bad thing. At least 1/2 the time I was defending people that weren't present to defend themselves. And I think that having the ability to see from the other persons perspective is a good thing. But I bet many of you are like me - only taking the time to see the other persons perspective when the situation has nothing to with you personally. Counter Intentions 10/09/2011
You maybe asking yourself "what is a counter intention?" So I have included this page on happyecho.com to answer just that.
The fact is often when people haven't created the life they say desire it is often one of two reasons. 1. They do not fully understand the Law of Attraction and still continue to complain often, and/or focus their thoughts and words on what they do not want instead of focusing on what they do want. 2. They have not cleared up their counter intentions. So what are counter intentions? ..... Letting go of the past 10/09/2011
"Out of sight, out of mind." The proverb has been around since at least the 1500s and is based on the idea that something is easily forgotten or dismissed as unimportant if it is not in our direct view. I believe no-matter how happy or successful we are in our lives it never hurts to remind ourselves of universal truths, and to continue learning and growing into nicer, more loving, happier and more successful human beings.
Letting go of the past may just be the hardest thing to do. But at the same time it is detrimental to our present and future to at least attempt to not be only reacting based on a past that no longer exist. Sometimes in life in order to move forward we most let go of the past. To start I would recommend doing so in a very physical manner.... Dreams and the dream world 10/09/2011
I am a very curious person. My whole life have wondered about the why or how of everything. I have a billion questions in my head and some I have received the answers to. But in the case of the really big subjects it appears the more I witness the less I know.
One of those subjects is dreams and the dream world. I have always been attentive to my dreams because at an early age I noticed they tend to come true and always they seem to help me understand something or learn something. I especially love the dreams when I'm driving or in a car being driven or in a plane cause it appears to me they they or dead on about if I'm in the drivers seat or if I'm allowing some one else to drive my life. I tend to be very awake in my dreams - noticing quickly that it is a dream...... Cancer/Dis-ease 08/25/2011
This video was shared with us by Christi Pou on facebook. She told us it's a must see and she is right it is a must see even for those who are not sick. Video Highlights:
Healing Cancer Naturally from Cathy Smith on Vimeo. Here at happyecho we strongly believe in the Law of Attraction and "the better it gets - the better it gets" and "the worse it gets - the worse it gets"! Or Simply "Like attracts Like". And because of that we are always looking for great, easy, and simple ways to help people improve the way they feel so that in return they can improve the overall quality of their life and most importantly the present emotional state. So we were a little shocked when we noticed there was no page on our site about the easiest and fastest way to do just that - Laughter! Which is a strong reminder that there is not enough time in the day to put all of our knowledge and wisdom on this site. So remember that if you have a problem or situation you are dealing with please feel free to email us at contact@happyecho.com for advice. We may recommend a tool that is not presently on the site - we will quickly add it though. My mother - who has been completely single for 11 years now - has a boyfriend! It is a huge shocker cause so many people (especially those who have been divorced or suffered the death of a spouse) one day just wake up and accept that they will never find love again. And that was my mother for the last 11 years.
She has had many men in her life in the last 11 years that wanted to be in a romantic relationship with her. But she always stopped it or kept them at arms length. And I have friends whose mothers sadly died not getting to experience one last time the joy and excitement that comes with a romantic relationship. And I also have friends whose Mothers are in a romantic relationship but have lost that joy and excitement. I don't think I have ever been so happy!!!!! I only wish everyone could feel what she's now feeling. This - to me - is a sign of all the great things to come. It's one of those experiences where I want to say "If she could get back to this point - so can YOU." YOU being everyone - the world and all it's lovely people. There is no need to monitor your thoughts 06/02/2011
I get a lot of emails most being articles or blogs about the kind of stuff we are interested in here at happyecho. But Today I got an email from a website focused on manifesting, the law of attraction and enlightenment. I was surprised by their belief and focus on monitoring "every single thought." I must say though that they had a lot of great things to say in that email - mixed in with the whole "you need to monitor every single thought," "think only positive thoughts," and "beware of your ego."
So I thought I should make it a little clearer what we at happyecho.com believe about monitory your thoughts, thinking only positive thoughts and the big bad scary ego. So often people want to label things and put us in a group we maynot belong. God wants your Love 05/04/2011
Based on the title you may think I’m religious but I am not. My father is Catholic, my Mother Mormon and my brother and I were sent to Baptist churches. I have been to Christian, Lutheran, Mormon, and Catholic churches and have had very interesting conversations with awesome Muslims, Buddhist, etc. Religions in general fascinate me. But I or anybody I know would never describe me as religious. I have more often been referred to as a “space alien” because of my beliefs about the nature of reality, consciousness, and the oneness of all things.
